GORDON V. RAYNER

PROFITS TO PATRIOTIC FUND The net proceeds of next Monday's fight at the Town Hall between C. Gordon (Auckland) and C. Rayner (Blenheim) will be donated to the Patriotic Fund. At its meeting last night the Auckland Boxing Association also decided to affiliate with the Auckland Council of Sport, Messrs. A. B. Joplin and R. Moore being elected delegates.

The usual assistance is to be given at secondary schools' tournaments as follows: Mount Albert Grammar, to-morrow (finals at 1.30 p.m.); King's College, Friday and Saturday (finals at 7.30 p.m.); Auckland Grammar, October 19, 20, 21, 22. Special trophies donated by the following supporters were accepted and allocated to amateurs in the recent championships: Miss Moir, Dr. E. L. Fitzgerald, Messrs. J. Weir, A. Hodgson, W. T. Leggett, S. Smith, E. G. Bridgens. C. Nicholson, H. Morpeth, F. Chatham, G. Forsyth and F. Macky.
