Advertisements are published in newspapers setting out details concerning the method of securing an issue of ration-books. Mr. Sullivan, today, "means that every man, woman and child in the community will receive a fair share of available supplies. The scheme is designed to make it as easy as possible to secure supplies, and at the same time prevent, abuses which, if allowed to prevail, would eventually react to the detriment of the community. "The ration-books which form the basis of the scheme will be available at all money-order offices during specified hours 'an exception is made in the case of Auckland), also at special issuing points in the cities and larger towns, as from Mondaynext, April 13. [n this connection, post, office officials will be greatly assisted if the public makes itseif familiar with the details of the scheme and watches carefully for the official announcements which will be made from time to time through the newspapers. I am sure that everyone will welcome the step that has been taken, and do everything possible to ensure that the scheme will operate satisfactorily."
