BETTING INCREASE
The volume of betting at most race meetings continues to soar when conditions are favourable, and another increase was entered up at the Waikato Racing Club's meeting. The amount handled on Saturday was £57,471, compared with £50,742 on the first day of the meeting last year, an increase of £6729.
