SHORE SWIMMING

At the North Shore Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club's carnival on Saturday at the Milford Pool the first race of the annual series of three for the Tommy Lowe Memorial Shield was won by North Shore from Waitemata, Mount Eden being third. Joyce Richardson, of -the Waitemata Club, who started from near limit marks, won the 100 yards ladies' free-style event for the Fuller Cup, the 100 yards open backstroke handicap and was second In the 100 yard* open breaststroke event. The Auckland Intermediate girl champion, Lois Bridson, North Shore, was successful in the 100 yards ladles' inter-club event in the good time of 68 4-ss.
