WOODVILLE CUP WINNER
The surprise winner of the Woodville Cup, Gold Bridge, is a five-year-old gelding by Acre—Pont d'Or, and is trained by C. J. Thompson. Gold Bridge has done very little racing this season, and the Woodville Cup was only his third start since August.. He was not among the fancied runners'and consequently his victory was accompanied by a solid dividend, but the runner-up, Maestro, was at a bigger price.
