"OLD FOLKS AT HOME"
Old Devonport residents enjoyed an afternoon given them by the Devonport Housewives' Union. The hostesses, Mesdames A. Parker and Mrs. L. Simmons, introduced them to the new Mayor and Mayoress, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. May, while some of them renewed acquaintance with Mr. Schramm, M.P. Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Mac Donald, with Mr. Frank Brodribb, provided the afternoon's entertainment. Bouquets were presented to the Mayoress and the oldest lady present, and small gifts were given to the oldest gentleman and winners of lucky numbers by Mrs. A. M. Stevens.
