FEILDING RACES
Pointers For First Day Of Meeting
! DYNASTY HAS PROSPECTS I ! (Special.) WANGANUI, this day. The weather yesterday was fine for the semi-final gallops for Feilding on Saturday and Monday. Dynasty was sent a mile in 1.43. The first half took 50}s and the opening six 1.16. It was a good gallop and suggested that the Posterity gelding will be hard to beat in the Manchester Handicap on Saturday. Greek Anthos was a shade in front of Curtail at the end of five furlongs in 1.4J- Curtail loafed over the last bit. He is engaged in the Kiwitea Handicap on Saturday. Greek Anthos is not in the first day, hut may be a starter on Monday. The Wanton and Ringcraft were associated over five furlongs. The pace was on all the way, Ringcraft having the better of it and registering 1.2. If he will do it right on the day Ringcraft will be hard to beat in the hack six. The Wanton is engaged in the same event and likely to run a big race. She is very fit. Red Cat's Five Red Cat went five furlongs in 1.31, going well within herself all the way. She is to contest the Kiwitea Handicap on Saturday. Poutu and Lovematch were not required to do their best over five furlongs in 1.5}. Poutu has come on well during the last week or so and should give a good account of himself in his Feilding engagements. Gold Nut was given useful work. The Rulanut gelding has been working well and is to be a runner in the hack distance event at Feilding. Taurangi is still amiss and will have to forfeit Feilding engagements. Her trainer, D. T. Marks, intends taking Poutu, Red Cat and Lovematch to Woodville for the second day. Sir Beau is to start in the Flying Handicap. He has been working fairly well, but will be improved with a race or two. Lord Cavendish is in great heart and he will not want for friends in the Kiwitea Handicap on Saturday.
