NOT WANTED IN E.P.S.
CONSCIENCE OBJECTORS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Kilbirnie section of the E.P.S. last night passed a motion protesting against the action of the Armed Forces Appeal Board in allowing appeals of certain conscientious objectors on condition that they join the E.P.S. It was felt that conscripts had no place in a voluntary organisation. The motion stated: "We decline to serve with them on the ground that, if persisted in, the policy will ultimately undermine the whole of our efforts."
