) KEEN STRUGGLE FOR THE HONOURS The postponed first round game between Mt. ' Albert Grammar School and Seddon Memorial Technical College, played on Tuesday, having resulted in victory lor the former 3—o. the present positions of teams in the secondary schools championship are:—

Sacred Heart's 12—3 victory over Auckland Gram- ; nar. last year's champion, has saved the competition from petering out as far as rivalry Is concerned, and the remaining four series of games should be full of interest. This week's draw is:— King's v. Sacred Heart, at Epsom. 3.15 p.m.; curtain-raiser. Auckland v. Technical. 2 p.m. The other match will be decided at Takapuna Grammar School ground, where the home side Is anxious to avenge the defeat by Mt. Albert on June 28 by 13 points to 11. as Takapuna led 11 —8 until he final minute of the game.
