This was granted and the union decided to apply to the New Zealand Union for the usual subsidy. An application from the Commercial Travellers' Club for the cancellation of Rugby matches on . July 26 was declined with regret. It was resolved to organise a raffle on that date in aid of the fund. Players Ordered Off The explanation of H Grant fOtahuhu) for ' his non-appearance before the committee last week was accepted. Grant was ordered off for indiscriminate kicking in the match with Training College, and was suspended for one Saturday, i A. G. George (Suburbs intermediates) was stood down for one playing Saturday for alleged flgli'- ; ing In a match against Eden. W. Peggs (Eden) did not appear and was stood down until he does so. P. Montague (Parnell-Tamaki) received j similar disciplinary action. I In connection with the Peter Mackie Trophy . comnetltion a report submitted by Mr. J.
