RUGBY REP. SEASON
MATCH WITH WAIKATO At the meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union last evening a letter was received from the Walkato Union submitting arrangements for the match between Auckland and Walkato at Hamilton on June 2. Play will 'start at 2.30 p.m.. and Mr. D. S. B. Heather was chosen as referee. The Auckland team, which will be la charge of Mr. O. s. Harvey, as manager, will travel on the Taneatua express, leaving Auckland at 9.8 a.m. Consideration of the date for a return match at Auckland In July was deferred. A resolution of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Private G. W. Alison, a member of the Grammar Old Boys' Club. It was agreed that the Bert Palmer Memorial Cup competition for junior boys' teams should commence on Saturday next. Ground officials for Saturday:— Sturges Park. Mr. H. G. Revell: Showgrounds, Messrs. P. Johnson and R. Harrop; Eden Park. Messrs. P. J. Sheehan, J. Lethbrldge: North Shore, Mr. J. J. Herrick.
