PATRIOTIC APPEAL

EFFORT AT OTAHUHU.

A strong committee was appointed for the purpose of organising the effort of Otahuhu in the patriotic fund appeal at a well-attended meeting convened by the Mayor of Otahuhu, Mr. C. R. Petrie, M.P., and held in the Borough Council Chambers. It was decided to make the effort an •'All-Otahuhu" one rather than to support any particular group, and to divide the proceeds equally among the candidates. Mr. Petrie was appointed chairman of the committee, which comprises:— Deputy chairman, Mr. J. C. F. Paine: secretary, Mr. P. Skoglund; assistantsecretary. Miss Ogilvio: treasurer. Mr. R. F. W. Wood; organiser, Mr. F. \V. Grey. Several dates for functions were approved and a large programme of events drawn up.
