Paramount'* Cecil B. Preston Foster. Robei t Preston. Akim Taniiroff. Lynne Overman, George Bancroft. Lon Chaney, jun., y\'alter Hampdeu and many others. Filmed in tecTinicolour —it is the first picture in which De Milie has employed colour throughout—"North-west Mounted Police" traces the effects ot the ha'.:'breede' rebellion on the live? of many people, including the courageous Mounted Police, and a Texas ranger who i.< out to capture one of the leaders ot" the rebellion. And woven into the main story fabric are the tales of two loves —that of a Mounted Policeman and a Texas Ranger for a fearleas nurse, and of a Mounted Policeman for a beautiful Indian girl who tights tor her = man like a wild cat. Combining 'the opulence of the early De Mille spectacles with the action towards whk-h he has tended in recent years., this film is a tethnicolour masterpiece. Outdoor scenes predominate and are filled with activity. These include a b.utle in ambush with guns blazing and blood flowing copiously, a burning of a fort to cover eecape of survivors, and as the climax ot the story, an advance of seven Mountiee upon a tribe of Indians.
