RED CROSS SOCIETY.

NEW PRESIDENT WELCOMED.

A pleasant function was held in the Fabian Club rooms, arranged by the entertainment committee of the Red Cross Society in the form of a hostess afternoon, to welcome Canon and Mrs. Coats. Canon Coats is the new president of the society.

There were representatives from many social clubs and divisions of the Red Cross. Mrs. P. Heath Preest was chairman, and with Mr. Patterson welcomed the guests of honour. A programme was rendered by the following: Mesdames Smith, M. May, R. Humphriesy Misses Beresford, E. Brown, P. Renner, C. Fenton, T. Houlder, J. Simpson, Messrs. Coney and D. Hunter. Mesdames L. G. Grace and Harper White were the accompanists.
