COLLISION AT EPSOM.

MOTOR CAR STRIKES POLE.

When he collided with a telegraph, pole at the corner of Merivale Avenue and Watling Avenue, Epsom, on Saturday ewning, the driver of a small roadster motor car was fatally injured. He was Mr. Trevor Arthur Howard Kidd, insurance salesman, single, aged 21, of Ml, Graf ton Road, City. Mr. Kidd, who was tnrown to the road by the force of the collision, euffered severe head injuries, and died in an ambulance on the way to the Auckland Hospital. A passenger in the car, Mr. Donald Francis Cederwall, was not injured. The car was extensively damaged. An inquest was opened to-day before Mr. F. K. Hunt, coroner.
