Sir Charles Norwood is visiting Auckland. Mr. C. R. Petrie, M.P., will travel to Wellington by the Limited express tonight. The Hon. F. E. Lark, M.L.C., returned from Wellington by the Limited express this morning. Mr. R. L. Bradley, first assistant at Hastings West School, has been appointed lecturer at the Auckland Teachers' Training College. Archdeacon J. A. Jermyn, vicar of Greymouth, will be acting vicar of the Miramar-Seatoun parish, Wellington, until the vicar, the Rev. C. E. Willis, who has been called up for service as a chaplain to the forces, returns. Mr. A. E. Hefford, chief inspector of fisheries, who has been visiting North Auckland, has returned to Wellington. The Hon. Mr. Justice Johnston, of Wellington, will preside at the quarterly session of the Supreme Court, which will open at Hamilton on Tuesday. Mr. L. B. Denby, A.1.A., who has been with the New Zealand Government actuary's office since 1931, has been appointed by the head office directors of the Southern Cross .Assurance Company, Limited, to be the company's actuary. Mr. Denby has left to take up his new appointment in Melbourne.
