WHANGAREI RACING CLUB. THE ANNUAL REPORT. (By Telegraph.—uwu Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. Congratulations on the excellent results shown for the season are extended to members in the report of the president, Mr. R. G. Husking, to be presented to the annual meeting of the Whaugarei Racing Club on July I'l. The totalisator investments amounted to £7ti,tißt>, an increase of £ 17,008, and stakes and transport expenditure at £SSOu is £1:41* more than the previous year. The statement of accounts shows a surplus of £041 11/10, after making provision for depreciation on assets and debts of a doubtful nature. Capital expenditure during the year amounted to £108 18/8, and following a settlement of current liabilities the bank balance at the close of the year was #1441 19/4, compared with £718 8/6 a» the commencement. Net taxation paid amounted to £6800 15/8, exclusive of social security tax of £26 5/9 on the excess income for the season.
Improvements made to the course bad attracted much larger fields, especially in races over six furlongs. So much wan this eo that it was becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable stable accommodation for visiting horsee at the club's stables. The question of providing extra stabling wax an urgent one.

The general review account profited to the extent of £307 by the spring and £611 by the autumn meeting, subscriptions bringing in £438 18/. The revenue account shows a balance of £ 8070 2/3.
