TO INJURE BEAULIVRE. BOOKMAKERS' HEAVY COMMITMENTS. (Received 0 a.m.) BRISBANE, thia day. What is deseriocd as a .sinister incident aimed at preventing the New Zealand coit Beaulivre taking his place in the Dooruben Newmarket Handicap next Saturday wa* reported yesterday when, during early track work, the local horse Yeppoon collided when a strand of fencing wire stretched across the track overnight by some evildoer whom the police are trying to trace. -Yeppoon was nearly thrown down. A prominent better was of the opinion that the plot was instigated by startingprice bookmakers, who have heavy commitments on Beaulivre, who had not left his stall when the incident was reported. A special police guard is now stationed at Beaulivre's stall.
