OBITUARY.
MR. WILLIAM COLTMAN. CITY BUSINESS MAN. The death has occurred in Auckland of Mr. William Coltman, aged 77. Mr. Coltman arrived in New Zealand from Birmingham in 1881, coming to Auckland in 1908 from Waimate and establishing a jeweller's business in Queen Street. Mr. Coltman had a long record of public service, having been Mayor of Waimate, a member of the Canterbury Hospital Board and Charitable Aid Board and chairman of the Waimate High School Board of Governors while living in the south. Coming to Auckland, Mr. Coltman continued his interest in public affaire, being first president of the Auckland Justices' Association and past president of the New Zealand Bowling Association, the Auckland Bowling Association, the .Auckland Automobile Association and the Auckland Rotary Club. He i< * survived by his wife and fire eons. The funeral was held this morning.
