BODY IN WATER.
SKULL FRACTURED. WAS IT FOUL PLAY? AIRCRAFTSMAN'S FATE. INQUIRIES B-S- POLICE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. How Aircraftsman A. E. Bulman. aged 29, a single man, met his death is the subject of intensive investigation by the police. His body, which apparently had been in the water for several days, was found yesterday morning- at the foot of Scarborough Cliff, but the police do not believe he fell from the top of the cliff.
Had* lie done so his injuries would have been more extensive than they were and. most of his major bones would have been broken.
Results of a preliminary examination by- ' Dr. Pearson, pathologist, suggest that death was due to a single blow on the head, which shattered a small area of the skull.
Aircraftsman Bulnian had injured his wrist while working as a rigger at Wigram aerodrome, and was on a month's leave. Hβ had stayed, apparently, at several places during the past month, and the police are investigating his movements during this time and are seeking information regarding people • with whom he was associated.
