PERSONAL.
Mr. A. Howitt, of Lyall Bay, Wellington, who had come to Auckland to meet Dr. J. G. Inkster, who was passing through the city en route to his home in Canada, has: returned to Wellington. Mr. C. R. Petriej M.P., will be a passenger for Wellington by the Limited express to-night. The Hon. Mr. Justice MacCormick is expected to leave for Wellington by train to-night. The Hone. T. Bloodw-orth, J. Alexander and J. E. Duncan, MX.Cs, will travel to Wellington by train to-night. Mr. C R. Mazengarb, manager of the DargavHle branch of the National Bank, has been transferred to Alexandra. Mr. C. A. Lindsay; manager of the bank at Maungaturoto since 1922, has retired, and will live at Waipori. . ° Captain R. Copeland, formerly of Palmerston North, has been appointed to succeed the late Major G. A. Gibbs as staff officer and quartermaster to the New Zealand Army Medical Services, Headquarters, Wellington. The Rev. T. H. Eccersall, of the huhu Baptist Church, has accepted a unanimous call to the Epsom Baptist Church, and will commence his new ministry on the first Sunday of next month. Mr. Greville Lloyd Hesketh was. admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New Zealand as a barrister and solicitor by Mr. Justice Blair to-day, on the motion of his father, Mr. H. K. Hesketh. Mr. G. L. Hesketh has been called up for service with the Air Force, and will go into camp shortly.
