After being unsuccessful for twelve < months, Silver Standard (Surprised by winning the Spring Handicap impressively, i The Derby colt Aeolus took the Rosehill Guineas after an exciting finish with i Petruchio and Limulet. In winning the • Hill Stakes Gold Rod equalled Valicare's track record of 1.38. ' The Veilmond gelding Rodborough equalled the course record in the Camellia i Stakes, and also greatly enhanced his j Epsom Handicap prospects.
