R.N.V.R. TRAINEES.

SAILING BY WAKAKURA. i FOURTEEN DAYS' TRAINING. I Fourteen R.N.V.R. trainees embarked on the minesweeper H.M.S. Wakakura. early this afternoon and will sail this evening on a fortnight's training cruise. They will have practice with mines, gunnery and evolutions during the cruise. Sub-Lieutenant L. Bell. of the R.N.V.R., is ill charge of the trainees, and Lieutenant K. H. Phibbs. commander of the Wakakura, is the R.N. lieutenant in charge. On their return to Auckland the men will be examined in the work they have done.
