MR. TILL FAREWELLED.
SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE The retiring Superintendent of Police at Auckland. Mr. S. Till, attended a meeting of the Auckland City Council last evening to receive a civic farewell. The Mayor. Sir Ernest Davis, extended to Mr. Till tlie best wishes of the council and citizens of Auckland. It was decided to record l>y resolution appreciation of Mr. Till's services during the past eight years in Auckland, and to forward to him an embossed copy of the resolution. Miss E. Melville said that they had always received courtesy, assistance and consideration from the retiring superintendent. Mr. Till made a brief, appreciative reply.
