DEVONPORT YACHT CLUB.
FIFTEENTH ANNUAL. MEETING. OFFICERS FOR SEASON 1938-39. The Deronport Yacht Club held their fifteenth annual meeting last evening in the clubhouse, King Edward Parade, the president, Mr. G. Trevithick, presiding. Mr. Trevithick snld the club had experienced a good season, the events were keenly contested, and they had been favoured by fine weather. The financial side was also satisfactory, and all of the hauling up plant in good order. He asked the commodore, Mr. Humphrey Duder, to present his report.
The ibalance-sheet, mibmitted by the hon. treasurer, Mr. E. T. Brown, showed receipts totalling £ 314, including subscriptions £44, entry fees £29, donations £12, kite and hauling up fees £122, dinghy lockers £33. The expenses Include cash prizes and trophies £83, slipway and dinghy locker expenses £49. The accounts showed a credit balance for the year's work of £29 3/6 after allowing for depreciation on clubhouse and plant and the cost of new dinghy lockej-s.
The report and balance-sheet -were adopted and all concerned thanked fr.r their good work on the motion of Mr. Trevithick. Mr. Duder also thanknd his officers and committee for their assistance and co-operation during the past year. A number of amendments to club rules were adopted on the motion of Mr. E. T. Brown.
