Good progrees with the New Zealand badminton championships was made last evening, when C and D grade events were advanced to the final stages. The semi-finals resulted:— C Grade.—Singles: R. Skeet beat R. Williams, 21—13. Women's singles: Miss R. Matthews beat Miss J. Wild, 15—0; Miss M. Iggulden beat Miss C. Ray, 15— 10. Women's doubles: Misses Mead and Johnston beat Misses Ray and Nisbet, 21—12; Misses G. F. and E. Houchen beat Mrs. Wylde and Miss Wild, 21—9. : D Grade.—Men's singles: C. Irvine beat E. Edraond, 21—11. Women's einglee: j Mrs. Sanders beat Mies V. Gore, 15—9;, Mise R. Horn beat Mrs. Sterritt, 15—3.1 Mens doubles: Taylor and MeGough beat! Woodhall and Mutuschka; 21—10.
