PARISH DANCE.

WELL-ATTENDED FUNCTION. ST. PATRICK'S AND SACRED HEART. The Manchester Unity Hal] was the scene of much gaiety on Saturday night when the St. Patrick's Cathedral and Sacred Heart parishes held their combined dance. An important feature of the evening was the judging by Mr. L. Prewlergast and Mw Smyth of the dancing competition which had been in progress for some weeks; This was a very difficult task as the dancers were all of a very high standard. The winners were Miss R. Mansfield and Mr. L. McMillan 1, Mis« J. Stradwick and Mr. R. Simmons 2. The organisers of this successful evening were: Miss Eileen McCarthy. Miss Allison Blewden. Miss Kathleen Vaughan, Miss Molly Wass. Miss Ruth Bailey, Miss Kathleen O'Halloran and Miss Peggy Wass. Among those present were: Mesdames P. Kenny, Waters. C. R. Hill, D. Watson. W.'
