BIGAMY CHARGE.

LABOURER'S ADMISSION.

COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE

(By TelegTaph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. Admitting a bigamy charge before justices in the Magistrate's Court this morning, Noel Samuel Bethwell (30), farm labourer, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. He made no application for bail. The facte as admitted by the accused were that he. was married at the Registry Office in Palmerston North to Ruby Laurena Christensen on January 6, 1933, and parted from her in April, 1935. There was one child.

On April 2.3, 1938, he went through a form of marriage at the Hastings Methodist Church with another woman.
