A strong financial position was revealed when the report was presented fl.t the fifth annual meeting of the Mount Albert Horticultural Society, Mr. W. G. Edmunds, vice-president, being in the chair. A rapid increase in membership was also ehown, the number on the roll now totalling more than 200.
The following officers were elected:— Patron, the Mayor of Mount Albert, Mr. H. A. Anderson; president, Mr. S. H. Bidwell; vice-presidents, Mrs. J. W. Tattersfield, Messrs. A. Crombie, W. R. G. Emerson, W. G. Edmunds, A. T. Garlick, J. E. Jensen, A. W. Palmer, J. M. Caughey, C. G. Hopkins, J. Clark, A. Greenwood, Drs. J. A. Paterson, T. H. Pettit, G. D. Lindsay and Livesay; committee, Meesrs. G. Bennett, S. H. Bidwell, F. A. Brown, A. Crombie, C. R. Garrett, R. Hart, R. Idoine, E. J. Keatley, H. Keatley,. L. V. Kicholls, G. Nicholls, R.
