BURNT-OUT SOLDIERS.
NEED FOR INSTITUTION. I (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Tuesday. "The time is not far distant when it will be necessary to provide an institution between the Public Hospital and the Jubilee Home for the accommodation of burnt-out soldiers," said Mr. F. G. Seddon, secretary, at to-night's annual meeting of the Wanganui .Returned Soldiers' Association. This statement was made by Mr. Seddon following a discussion on the plight of a member, aged 46, who had been sent from the hospital to the home. It was suggested by the secretary' that a remit should be forwarded to the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association conference, proposing that the Government should act in conjunction with hospital hoards in seeking a way to deal with the problem. Another member suggested that the national canteen fund should he utilised and an institution erected for the purpose of accommodating aged returned soldiers.
