LINESMAN ELECTROCUTED
FAU. AGAINST CABLE. i —— (By TelegTaph.—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Tuesday. While engaged on a main line inspection, Mr. Rupert Leslie Harty, aged 42, married, a linesman employed by the Marlborough Power Board was electrocuted. Mr. Harty, who had climbed a steel lattice tower to examine the insulators, apparently fell against an 11,000-volt cable. The accident was not discovered until the inspection gang, which had split up, reassembled at lunch time. Mr. Harty was a former King Country representative footballer and a Marlborough and Nelson swimming champion.
