AN APPEAL LODGED.
RULETTE'B DISQUALIFICATION. - It is understood that the connections of Rulette have entered an appeal against the decision of the judicial committee in disqualifying the mare in. the St. Fatrick's Handicap at Paeroa on Thursday, when «he returned to the scale with 2%1b overweight. It k stated that a Government inspector of weight* and measures Uwted the scale* on'Friday,'and certified, that they were not quite in order, i Another set of scales were certified by. the inspector, and these were tested with the club's ecalee on Saturday mornthe stipendiary steward, Mr. B. who found that the two sets of aAes agreed.
