OHINEMURI CLUB.

THE FINAL DAY. ROUND UP SCORES. LORNACRE ANNEXES SPRINT. Some excellent racing was provided at Paeroa on Saturday, when the Ohinemuri Jockey Club concluded ite annual meeting. The weather, wae fine, and in consequence there wae a large attendance. The sum of £36,776 was put through the machine, compared with £30,993 for the coi responding day laet year, which was a Wednesday, an increase of £5783. This made a total of £68,652 for the fixture, an against £62,990 laet eeason, an increase of £5662. The improving Balinavar never left the issue in doubt in the Netherton Hack Handicap, and won easily by three lengths. He is only a three-year-old, and can be expected to piove a good winner later in the season. Cometarium ran his usual honest race, and battled on solidly, while High Sea hung on for the minor money, after being in the picture all the way. Glen Abb made a forward move half a mile from home, but failed to go on with it. Barrister 'was making up ground over the final stages after being near, the rear for the greater portion of the journey. Round Up ran right up to hie first day's form by accounting for the Shaw Handicap. He was within striking distance of the leaders practically all the way and when asked for a little extra in the straight responded splendidly. Dark Shadow, who wae favourite, attempted to lead practically all the way, and it was in the laet half-furlong .that lie weakened a shade. Mine Lu wae in the leading bunch for over half the journey, and battled on well under pressure. Riotous and Mio Liime always had the measure of the opposition in the Hauraki Plaine Steeplechase, and on thie occasion the foi-mer reversed the first day's placing*. Riotous jumped splendidly all the way, and fully deserved hie victory. Mio Lume also fenced well, and easily beat the remainder. Smiling Thru shaped creditably, as did Valpeen, who was having his first outing for some time; After his good third on the first day Lornacre was solidly supported in the Paeroa Handicap, being the 'actual favourite on the place machine. He was in the first four practically throughout, and came home solidly to beat the win favourite. Golden Sheila, who made a fine effort from the home turn. Prince Acre, who was having his first race for some time, shaped most encouragingly, while Orate only weakened in the last halffurlong. The meeting concluded with the Waikino Handicap, for which Te Monowai, who drew No. 1 position, was an each way favourite. She twisted side on just as the barrier went up and lost several lengths, which completely settled her chances. May Song was in front at the home turn, but halfway down Forest Acre put in a great run, and got up to beat her by a neck, with Strathire a head away. Clooneen wae fourth and then came Te Monowai and Galloping Acre.
