GALA OPENING TO-NIGHT.
t H,s Majesty's Theatre the •11 il'iamson, Limited, management will present the opening gala performance ot the successful London musical comedv triumph "Over She Goes." This wiil represent the reappearance here of the popular comedian George Gee and the hist appearance in New Zealand of a number of musical comedv artists from London and New York, including Miss \ alene Hay, a young English artist, Donald Burr, a juvenile lead from London and New York theatres, Miss Billie Worth. a talented American soubrette. and Percy Le Fre, a light comedian and dancer. The charming young Australian comedienne, Miss Lois Green, who has appeared here before, has an important part in | "Over She Goes." The cast also includes j Miss Enid Hollins, Mr. William O'Neal, i who is said to be the possessor of a fine tenor voice, Kenneth Tuckfield, a young Australian artist. Nellie Strong. John Dobbie. Tommy Jay, Phil Smith, Jean Slapoffski and Murray Lewis. The company also includes a ballet of Australian girls and an operatic chorus and orchestra. "Over She Goes," which is still the reigning musical attraction in London, where it has been running continuously for 18 months, enjoyed record seasons in Sydney and Melbourne. The J. C. Williamson company claims that "Over She Goes" has all the necessary attributes of successful musical comedy—bright music, clever dancing. | colourful settings, fast dialogue and originality of plot. The orchestra is under ' the charge of Mr. F. Quintrell; Mr. Victor Tatnall is the stage manager.
