TREAT FOR CHILDREN.
ANNUAL PICTURE PARTY.
Between 400 and 500 children from the poorer areas of the city were given their annual Christmas treat by" the Auckland City Mission this morning, when a party was held at the Civ?c Theatre. 1-ree picture entertainment was provided by courtesy of the management of the Civic, and toys and sweets were distributed to the children. I lie party, which has lieen held on the Saturday preceding Christmas for some years past, was organised bv the citv missioner, the Rev. Jasper Calder. A number of the children who attended to-dav will be the guests of the mission at the mission's children's health camp, which will open at Oneroa on December
