McCarthy and Cvril iearee. also swam to the snot, but could find no trace of the bodv. By that time a dinghy had been procured and the wharf police and St. John Ambulance officer were in attendance. Air. Jameson then swam back to the steps and with his companions set out in the dinghy to drag for the body. Two employees of the Harbour Board ill so rowed out in a smaller boat to help, and the launch Olive Jean was commissioned by the police to assist. Dragging operations were continued throughout the afternoon without suecess.
