SERIOUS INJURIES.

TRUCK OVER CLIFF.

(From Our Correspondent.) KAITAIA, Saturday. While rounding a bend on the steep road leading from the Ninety Mile Beach, on the Ahipara Hill gumfields, a motor truck driven by Mr. George Allen, a Maori, went over the bank, to come to rest with the wheels in the air in a gully 50ft down from the road. The truck was damaged beyond repair.

Mr. Allen received injuries to hi« spine and concussion. Two other passengers in the truck, Mr. Nicholas Udjur, the owner of the truck, who was teaching Mr. Allen to drive, and a child escaped with minor injuries. Mr. Allen was taken to the Kaitaia Hospital. His condition is serious.
