THREE MAORIS FINED.

(From Onr Correspondent.) TAUPO, Saturday. A case of wide interest heard in the Taupo Magistrate's Court was one in which Patena Mariu, Huia Katarina and Wairaki Rangi, all natives, were fined £4 10/, f4 10/ and £5 respectively for taking trout out of the Poutu Stream, near Laka Roto Aira, during the close season. This lake is the one concerned in recent Court proceedings.
