METHODIST SOCIAL.

The Great North Road Methodist Ladies' Guild held a social afternoon this week. The hall was decorated with flowers of all kinds. The Rev. Handy occupied the chair. The afternoon opened with the singing of the Doxology, followed by the Lord's Prayer. The president then welcomed the visitors, who numbered about 30. Items were then rendered as follows: Pianoforte duets, Mrs. Gaddis and Miss Wilson; vocal solos, Mrs. Rosser; recitations, Miss Olphert; pianoforte solo, Mrs. Grant; vocal duets, Mesdames Moses and Collicoat; recitations, Student Giluiore.
