TO-MORROW'S BOUT

On Saturday night Lofty Blomfield will be seen at the Auckland Town Hall in an intercolonial contest, his opponent being Jack FoHsgreii, the Canadian titleholder. Keen rivalry lias been evident between Blomfield and Forsgren ever since their first meeting last year and wrestling enthusiasts have eagerly been awaiting the time when the trails of the two Dominion champions should cross again. Bull Blomfield and Forsgren like a bout to be kept moving at a fast pace and neither is likely to seek protection if the other should introduce provocative tactics. Both can use the elbow jolt with spectacular and effective results, while they have plenty of other measures with which they seek to wear" down the opposition.

BAVAGE BEATS WALKER.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Displaying his oldtime guile and technique, Walker made his reappearance in the Town Hall to-night before a crowded house. His opponent, however, was the formidable Savage, a scientific orthodox wrestler, who gained the decision on points with the falls even. Savage obtained his fall in the fourth round. Walker had dumped him twice, but when he pounced on Savage to press him the latter turned the tables on him smartly. In the last round Walker pitched Savage about the ring like a 6ack of chaff, gave him an aeroplane spin, and deposited and pinned him. The referee awarded the match to Savage, who had given a masterly display.

BLOMFIELD AND RUMBERG DRAW,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Thursday. In a professional wrestling contest Blomfield and Romberg drew. The bout was decided by Indian deathlocks, Rumberg getting a fall in the sixth and Blomfield in the eighth with this type of hold.

ANOTHER DRAWN BOUT,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Although Spellman, 15.9, gave easily the more skilful exhibition, Forsgren, 16.9, drew ivith him in a professional wrestling bout. Spellman butted the Canadian ■Jiree times in succession in the fifth round > obtain a fall, and Forsgren brought le bout to a sudden close in the eighth ...und-with a Boston crab, to which Spellman submitted.
