CARNIVAL DANCE.
PASSENGER TRANSPORT CLUB.
A delightful Coronation carnival dance, organised by the Passenger Transport Social and Benefit Club in the company's social hall at Otahuhu on Thurs- ] day evening was thoroughly enjoyed by well over 100 guests. Bunting and streamers of red, white and blue, with shaded lights, gave a fine setting to the many pretty frocks of the ladies. The committee responsible for the organising of the functioji was Messrs. V. Brown (president), L. Meredith (vice-president), R. F. Carter (secretary), and C. Warren, A. Brierly, L. Wood, T. Ryan,. F. Slinger and E. Pheasant. Mr. Frank Slinger was master of ceremonies and ; Mr. C. Warren had control of the dancing floor. Mr. T. Pheasant and partner won first prize in the Monte Carlo waltz and Mr. and Mrs. Maiden were awarded second prize. Mr. Emmerton and Mrs. Maiden won the spot waltz.
