The most outstanding of the illustrations, which lire a feature of the new "New Zealand Farmer Weekly." is a full page photograph of the art of the ploughman, showing the furrows stretching back in mathematical rows to at least a mile in the distance. Other photographs are of work 011 the pedigree cocksfoot pa.st ure.s and a fascinating series of views of different pieces of land which have received topdressing at different intervals. lhcre are photographs of nearly 100 different animals in this first issue, and indeed nearly every jwge is illustrated. I lie section for the Countrywoman at Home contaiinrTi number of personal reminiscences contributed by readers which make exceptionally interesting reading, and also pages of recipes and kitchen hints, short story, children's games and an excellent pattern service.
