SAMOA IS CAUTIOUS.
APIA RESIDENTS BARRED. SYDNEY, January 8. Two Samoan residents, Air. W. Links and Miss M. Yandall, who were refused permission to land at their home town of Apia, arrived at Sydney by the Wanganella to-day. They had gone to Apia from Auckland and permission to land was withheld owing to the fear of infantile paralysis. Mr. Links and Miss Yandall expect to be allowed to return, to Apia after the lapse of a month provided that they do not call at Auckland.
