NORTH AUCKLAND SUSPECT.

WHANGAREI, this day.
A suspected case of infantile paralysis was admitted to the Bay of Islands District Hospital, Kawakawa, late yesterday afternoon. The patient was a girl, aged 18, of Paihia. Every precaution waa taken in dealing with the case, the house and inmates of the bouse in which the girl resided being quarantined diately. The girl has been placed in the isolation block. The medical superintendent at the Kawakawa Hospital, Dr. Frengley, does not nt the moment consider the ease to be one of infantile paralysis, but hopes to he able to make a definite diagnosis at the beginning of the week.
