ACCIDENT VICTIM.
HELP FROM GOVERNMENT. PENSION AND SPECIAL CHAIR. During his repent visit to Waimana the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, paid a visit to Mr. Alfred BoVnton, who, some time ago, suffered the loss of both of his legs at the hips. Some delay had occurred regarding granting Mr. Boynton's pension and the Minister promised that, provided his papers were in order, he would arrange for Mr. Boynton to receive the maximum pension of £4 weekly as from July last. The Minister also promised to look into an application for the crcction of a house on a section which had been given to Mr. Boynton by the people of Waimana and others, and to expedite the granting of a loan. Mr. Parry went further and said the Government would donate the sum of £50 to provide Mr. Boynton with a chair, in view of tlie fact that the disabled man has a wife and eight children under the age of 12 years. The Minister said he felt that the ease was one in which the Government should show sympathy.
