HARBOUR BOARD.
LOAN Or £89,000 FOR WORKS. At a meeting of the Auckland Harbour Board yesterday, presided over by Mr. C. G. Macindoe, it was decided to make application to the Local Government Loans Board for permission to borrow £80,000 for works recommended by the engineer and approved by the board in the estimates for the year. Permission was given the Ponsonby Cruising Club to transfer its clubhouse to a site at the outer end of the proposed reclamation at the foot of St. Mary's Bay Poad, the rental to be £5 a year for five years. The license will be issued subject to certain conditions regarding drainage and the conduct of the clubhouse. , A donation of £5 5/ was made to the funds of the Shipwreck Relief Society of New Zealand. The rental of £1 a year fixed for the use by the Auckland Aero Club of certain areas of the foreshore adjoining the Mangere Aerodrome was reduced from £1 a year to 1/.
