CARNIVAL DANCE.

FUNCTION AT OTAHTJHU. ■: i ■ The Passenger Transport Social Club's carnival dance, lield in the social hall of the company's garage at Otahuhu, was a fitting conclusion to the committee's activities during the season. The attendance easily surpassed all other functions, and dancing and a series of competitions made for a most enjoyable evening. The committee responsible for the organising was Messrs. V. Brown (president), R. F. Carter (vice-presi-dent), L. Meredith, F. Slinger, C. Kay j and N. Thomas. During the evening a special presentation was made by Mr. Carter to Mrs. Kirkliam, sen., the "mother of the club." Miss E. Barton and Mr. Meredith won the Monte Carlo prizes. Mr. F.
