TRAVEL CLUB.
MANY GUESTS WELCOMED. Stimulating criticism of New Zealind was given by.Dr. E. Cora Hind, LL.D., in the course of an address at the weekly morning tea of the Auckland Travel C'lub held in the Milne and Choyce reception hall and annexe yesterday. Dr. Hind, who is an authority on the wheat industry and the agricultural editor of the "Winnipeg Free Press," Manitoba, has been making inquiries into the agricultural and economic conditions of the Dominion. She said she saw no reason why New Zealand should not make rapid progress if it did not have such an enormous debt. She said that she considered it a wonderful country and paid a tribute to the efficiency of the New Zealand Tourist Bureau. During the morning songs were sung by Mrs. Bell-Booth, accompanied by Madame Humphrey Stewart. B. Christie (Nelson) J Mrs. Moore (Marton), Mrs. A. C. Howarth (Wanganui), Miss Templer (Hamilton), Mrs. and Miss Ross (Christchurch), Miss Wyn Rise (Napier), Mrs. Peter Murray (Taumarunui), Miss R. Meiklejohn and Miss H. Hislop (Dunedin).
