R.M.S. lONIC.
LAST VISIT TO AUCKLAND. OPEN FOR INSPECTION. The Shaw Savill and Albion Company's steamer lonic (12,352 tons), which arrives to-morrow morning from Wellington, is making her' last visit to Xew Zealand. ' As it is thought that there are many people in Auckland who have happy recollections of this vessel and would like to go aboard her again for the sake of old associations, it has been decided bv the company to throw the lonic open to visitors on Labour Day, Monday next. If this is not convenient for all who jvish to view the steamer, she will again be open for inspection on Friday, October 30, between the hours of 2.30 and 4.30 p.m. On this occasion passes to admit will be required, which may be obtained from the company's agents, Messrs. L. D. Nathan and Co., Ltd., Fort Street, or Messrs. A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd., Quay Street. The lonic, which is commanded by Captain H. B. Thurston, after lier arrival at London on December 22, will be sold to the shipbreakers to be broken up.
