LAND APPLICATIONS.
WHANGAMATA SCHEME. STATEMENT BY MINISTER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. Several inquiries have been made by Mr. J. Thorn, M.P., from the Minister in charge of State Forests, the Hon. F. o Langtstone, as to the reason why proposals made by Waihi residents to take up sections iu the Whangamata district have not yet been decided on. Mr. Langstone has now replied that applications for land and other matters in connection with the Whangamata district will not be dealt with until- it is possible for him to make a personal inspection at the conclusion of the present session.
